Ceroc Dunedin News Letter March 12th 2008
Hi Everyone,
Only a few days to go before Ceroc Dunedin's biggest weekend of the year. Over 45 people are travelling to Dunedin to join our own wonderful group of dancers for a weekend of workshops with four very talented guest instructors and of course the glitzy Ceroc Dunedin Masquerade Ball at Larnach Castle on Saturday night. The programme for the weekend is detailed below.
Easter is almost upon us and this year the Go Otago Day celebrations and Fair are going to be held on Easter Monday at the Mosgiel A & P showgrounds. Ceroc will be performing two demonstrations just after lunch. The first will be on the small demonstration stage and the second will be on the main performance stage. We would like as many people as possible to be involved in this demonstration. We will be freestyle dancing to two tracks and performing the Fever routine. Fever will only be performed by those that have learnt the routine. We will have a short practice session for fever tonight and tomorrow night at 9.30pm at the Burns Hall and a slightly more detailed session next Tuesday at 9.15 at Mojos hall, 219 Leith street. Please let me know if you are keen to join us and if you have any questions, please ask J
Thank you to everyone that came along on Saturday night to help Mike and Helen celebrate their recent wedding. It was a fun night in nice hall.
One of our dancers has reported lost a valuable pendent and has asked if anyone has seen it could they please contact me (John). It is a square ceramic pendent with the image of a dragon on the front. It is on a fine black leather necklace. She has offered a reward.
On the topic of lost property, we are constantly collecting clothing from the hall after classes. If you think you may have left some clothing at class, please ask to see our lost property box.
Due to cancellations there are now 4 tickets available for the Ball

Quotes for the week
"The night wind blows coldly as the sun hides herself and the moonlight dances softly like some mischievous Elf, the dark hour approaches and magic fills the air, for the Masquerade has begun, Come join if you Dare!"
~unknown~
"Come and trip it as ye go
On the light fantastic toe."
~John Milton~
The language of movement requires no words - neither for its expression, nor for its understanding.
Without uttering a syllable, the vocabulary of dance speaks directly to the senses, seducing the heart and securing the soul.
~ Royal NZ Ballet ~
Kind Regards
Katie, John, Monique, Rachel, Brent and the Ceroc crew :-)
