Ceroc Dunedin News and Events - 25th September 07
Hi Everyone,
The Ceroc Dunedin newsletter comes out every 2-3 weeks and keeps you all up to date with the social events and workshops that are being planned here in Dunedin and in other towns throughout NZ. We also include interesting stories and some great dance movement advice from teachers and dancers nationwide.
The big news this week is the "Triples" workshop this Saturday in Dunedin . Triples is dancing with any combination of 'three' people. Usually this is one guy and two ladies, but it can be any combination. Ben Plows-Kolff , will be teaching a "Beginner" level workshop covering some basic moves and fundamental techniques used when dancing this fun variety of Ceroc. We have a good number of registrations for this workshop, however there are still spaces available for both females and males, although male spaces will limited very soon, please register with Tom at class or call John on (021) 313 043, to reserve your spot!
The workshop will be followed with a fun dance party to help celebrate Nick Brysons birthday!
Please note that due to a visiting Auckland instructor the "First Saturday of the Month" dance party is going to be postponed for one week, and will be held on the 13th of October. Please see below for details!

Simply Ceroc Weekend – Wellington – October 20th – 22nd 2007 (Labour Weekend)
Come to Wellington at Labour Weekend for a weekend of fun and friendship! We've had an amazing number of people book for the weekend events so far, with nearly 300 people registered at present. Around 100 of those are from Wellington and the rest are from all over the country, from North Auckland all the way down to Invercargill and everywhere in between! Last year we had around 200 registered by now and ended up with 400 people overall so it's looking good for this year.
Our flagship event, the Grand Masquerade Ball, is being held at the magnificent Te Papa Museam of NZ this year and nearly everyone who has registered for the weekend has booked for it. Places are limited to 400 so at present we have around 100 places left for the Ball.
However most other events now have restricted entry. We do our best to ensure even numbers of men and ladies at the social dances and the workshops so consequently most workshops and the Saturday night Showcase Spectacular are now full for ladies booking on their own. We have 10 workshops on over the weekend catering for beginner dancers right up to advanced. On most we can still accept ladies booking with men, but not ladies on their own. So ladies, please check with us before booking and men - we need you! We are taking ladies names on waiting lists for when more men register. Details of all events and applicable restrictions are on the website www.simplyceroc.com
We'd love to see you here in Wellington - and especially more men - you are in demand!

Quote for the week
"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail? ~ Unknown
The language of movement requires no words - neither for its expression, nor for its understanding.
Without uttering a syllable, the vocabulary of dance speaks directly to the senses, seducing the heart and securing the soul.
